Setting Up Microsoft Outlook


Follow these simple steps to configure Outlook Express with our e-mail systems.

Follow these easy steps to configure Outlook

Open Outlook

Click Tools

Select Accounts


Click Add

Select Mail

Enter your name

Click Next


Enter your email address

Click Next

Choose POP3 from the mail server drop down box

Enter the Incoming mail (POP3) Server as mail.brannitan.com


Enter the Outgoing mail (SMTP) Server as mail.brannitan.com
(or smtp.brannitan.net if using a Brannitan Dial-Up)

Click Next

In POP account name enter your FULL E-Mail Address


In Password enter your password

Click Next

Choose the option for connection - usually Connect using my phone line

Connect using my phone line will cause Outlook to automatically dial out and connect to Brannitan

Connect using my Local Area Network will connect using an existing LAN (Local Area Network) connection.

I will establish my internet connection manually, means that you will have to dial in to Brannitan yourself before Starting Outlook.

Click OK


Select the Dialup Networking connection to Brannitan

Click Next and then Finish

At this point you can click Close and test your new account by clicking on Send and Receive.


If you have registered a domain name, make sure the Brannitan account is highlighted and click Properties

In the Reply address box type your domain name, click OK, then click Close.
